Mir Zahoor inspects CCM Srinagar, stresses on its modernization | KNO

Minister of State for Forest, Environment, and Cooperative, Mir Zahoor Ahmad today conducted a surprise visit of Centre for Cooperative Management (CCM), Srinagar and took stock of its functioning and field activities.

The Minister also interacted with the trainees at the Institute who apprised him of their issues and problems.

The trainees demanded incorporation of Diploma in basic eligibility criteria in Recruitment Rules of Cooperatives and its allied Departments, payment of stipend in favour of trainees during their training course, revamping of Cooperative Movement in the State and conduct of study tours to various Cooperative Societies outside the State.

The Minister gave them a patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into. He said that revised draft Recruitment Rules of Cooperative Department is under process.

Mir Zahoor ordered for organizing study tours of trainees outside the State. He said that study tours are a must for trainers which he said will help them to explore their efficiency and hidden talent.

Interacting with the trainees, he said that the Government headed by the Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti is committed to revive the Cooperative Movement in the State.

He stressed on modernization of Centre for Cooperative Management, Srinagar and augmenting its infrastructure so that it can perform its functions in a hassle-free manner.

 Later, the Minister inspected the land of Cooperative Department at Allochibagh Srinagar for developing Department’s business assets on it.

On the occasion, the Minister asked the Secretary Cooperative to prepare a comprehensive plan for establishing of modern building infrastructure and submit the same to the concerned quarter for arrangement of necessary funds.
